WHY SUPPORT THE INITIATIVE

Brain tumors are among the leading causes of cancer deaths in children and adolescents, and medulloblastoma is the among the most common malignant brain tumor during childhood.

When medulloblastoma relapses, no standard treatment is available.

Pediatric cancer research is often overlooked: For every dollar the US government spends on cancer research, only 4 cents are allocated to pediatric cancer research.

This conservative approach to investment by both government and industry has led to an ever-widening gap in research funds for “rare’ diseases (defined in the U.S. as those affecting fewer than 200,00o people) — the case of pediatric cancers, including medulloblastoma.

With your help we can change that.
