IMPLEMENTATION

Our accounting and finance teams are ready to provide assistance with legal aspects involved in the donation.

Donors to The Medulloblastoma Initiative will receive legal support from Kalbian Hagerty LLP, an international general practice law firm serving clients around the world with headquarters in Washington D.C.

All funds will go directly to the Children’s National Hospital, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of Title 26 of the United States Code. That means the donation is tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

ACCOUNTABILITY

An External Advisory Board, consisting of three renowned and independent researchers, is in charge of accountability audits. An initial audit has already been performed at the start the project. Additionally, research milestones will be audited every three months. With full transparency, the MB Initiative will provide semiannual reports with the project evolution.
